SAUSBCA Quarterly Meeting
 
The SAUSBCA Quarterly Meetings brings together our board members and members of the association to discuss issues of concerns, changes etc.  The next quarterly meeting will be at Rucker Lanes, October 28, 2012.  The association quarterly meeting information will be posted and updated as necessary.

This is a report from the last SAUSBCA Quarterly meeting:-

1.  The Quarterly meeting commenced at 2:00 PM - Association First (1st) Vice President 

2.  Officers Roll Call:

3.  Old Business:- 

  • Finance Report: CD Account: $5,000.00, Tournament Account: $1,775.42, Checking Account : $3201.38
  •  Minutes of last meeting - Typographical errors corrected - Cathy Torgerson motion to accept, second by Don Solesbee - Passed
  •  Budget/Audit - Recalled finances, approved Budget Audit - Don Solesbee motion to accept, second by Evelyn McNab - Passed

4.  New Business:-

  • Youth patches - Motion to spend up to $125.00 per Youth League total of $250.00 - Motion to accept by  Don Solesbee, second by Cathy Torgerson - Passed
  • Youth Tournament - February 9 2013 Teams will bowl at Boland Lanes, Enterprise, 10 February 2013 Doubles & Singles at Rucker Lanes, Fort Rucker.  Motion to accept - Cathy Torgerson - Second by Don Solesbee - Passed
  • City Tournament 16 February 2013 - Team at Enterprise, 17 February 2013 - Doubles and Singles at Fort Rucker.
  • Money for Tournaments - Last year bought shirts for tournament entrants; Cathy Torgerson made motion of total of $400.00 for trophies and shirts for all participating youth from both leagues equally, prorated by number of kids on the leagues - Second by Evelyn McNab - Passed
  • City Tournament - SAUSBC Association will donate $300.00 for Women and $300.00 for Men - Motion by Sherri Peacock - Second  Pat Rudzinsky - Passed
  • Discussion of the rules for tournament to allow only money in one (1) category, but determined to leave as it is now.
  • Jackets Awarded - By Association for 700 Series for men and 600 Series for women and youth are currently $40.00 each at Screen Tech, Dothan, AL.  Association Manager will check on prices from Todd & Sons, JAB Troy, AL and Arts and Crafts, Fort Rucker, for their price comparison.
5.  New Discussions:- Committee Members assignments are as follows:
  • Audit & Budget Committee:- Cathy Torgerson and Janet Butler
  • Legislative Committee:- Cathy Torgerson and Gaynelle Mixon
  • Awards & Recognition Committee:- Evelyn McNab and Sherri Peacock
  • Center Certification Committee:- Kenneth Myer and Don Solesbee - All available Board Members will assist 
  • Publicity Committee:- Paul Richards and Donald Solesbee -  All Boards Members assist as necessary
  • Youth Committee:- Donald Bradley, Doris Skipper and Ronald Cook
  • Nomination Committee:- Pat Rudzinsky and Kerry Lambert
  • Finance Committee:- Colleen Marks and Eugene Kyser
  • Tournament Committee:- Evelyn McNab and Pat Rudzinsky

 * Monitor and assist as committee requests, motion by Don Solesbee, and second by Sherri Peacock - Passed *

  • State Meeting and Elections - 27 July 2013, Paul Richards is up for re-election.
  • Hall of Fame Nominations - Cathy Torgerson has forms.
  •  Listed State Tournaments  - Will be posted in each bowling centers (Rucker and Boland Lanes).
  • Annual Meeting - Will be held in Birmingham, 2013 and Lake Gunter for 2014.
  • Rules Reviews for Tournaments stated which oil pattern will be used.  Also, the Association will be enforcing the dress code.  Rule changed to say entrants must be a member of the State Association at least thirty (30) days prior to the tournament.  Averages will be as of 31 January and must have twenty one (21) games.  The highest league average will be used or a composite average of all leagues.
  • The Association website is up and Paul Richards would like feedback as to any issues encountered.  Also, Don Solesbee requested that the Tournaments held every second (2nd) Friday be put on calendar.  Website address is: www.sausbca.com and the facebook website is: Southeast Alabama United States Bowling Congress.
  • Next Association meeting - Will be 26 February, 2013 at the start of the City Tournament.
  •  Board Meetings - Will be quarterly, scheduled for the  fourth (4th) Sunday of the following months, January 2013, April 2013, July 2013, and October 2013.
6.  Motion to adjourn - 1st Vice President - Members Passed.
